What we did

Overview

A specialist parts business needed coordinated store and marketing support.

GateHouse Supplies operates a BigCommerce storefront with a catalog that depends on clear product identification and navigation. Customers need to find the right parts while returning buyers benefit from timely follow-up.

Our February 2024 reporting brought together Klaviyo work, storefront improvements and store performance. It provided a shared view of the work completed and the areas that still needed attention.

The issue

Product discovery and customer follow-up both needed ongoing attention.

The brands page needed cleanup and better visibility. Detailed parts imagery helped customers identify components, while email flows needed refinement beyond their initial setup.

The store also faced a decline in visits and average order value. A higher conversion rate alone could not explain the commercial picture, so our reporting kept orders and revenue in view.

The solution

We improved email follow-up and made the catalog easier to navigate.

We adjusted the timing of the first high-value abandoned-cart email and added a second browse-abandonment follow-up. The reporting documented DMARC updates and short-form and long-form campaign production.

On the storefront, we cleaned up the brands page and added footer links to make it easier to reach. We also produced an exploded parts view for the Doorking 6100 and reviewed remaining catalog issues with the client.

  • Refined abandoned-cart email timing
  • Added a browse-abandonment follow-up
  • Completed DMARC updates
  • Produced short-form and long-form campaigns
  • Cleaned up the brands page and added discovery links
  • Created a detailed exploded parts view
The outcome

The February email report recorded $59,091 in attributed revenue.

Flows accounted for $49,874.30 and campaigns accounted for $9,216.70 in the February report. Those figures show the contribution reported by Klaviyo across ongoing automation and scheduled sends.

The separate store comparison covered January 21–February 19 against December 22–January 20. Conversion rate rose from 1.48% to 2.78% and orders remained at 1,523. Revenue fell 10.89% to $443,716.93 as average order value declined. These figures describe the period; they do not establish that the later brands-page changes caused the conversion increase.
